Pack Got Robbed With Officials' Blunders posted on 09/24/2012
I don't like the Green Bay Packers. I like it when they lose a game. I like it when they get outplayed. But last night, they got out offiialed. They lost to the Seattle Seahawks, but it was the replacement ref's who handed the game on a silver platter. Seattle's Qb threw a Hail Mary pass to the end zone that was well covered by Pack defenders. But Seattle wide receiver Grady Tate pushed off one of the Pack players in a blatant offensive interference call that was never meted out. Pack defender M.D. Jennings appeared to intercept the ball and had possession but landed on the ground as Tate tried to wrestle the ball from him. The Ref saw this play and awarded the Seahawks a game winnning TD with no time left on the clock. The Pa

Sox Can't Drive In Runs, Division Lead Slipping posted on 09/22/2012
The Chicago White Sox can't score a runner from third base and that might be a significant reason why this team appears to have lost whatever offense it had, and as games dwindle, so does their division lead. The Sox only lead by 3 games with 15 to play...now it's just a matter of time as the Tigers claw their way into a tight race.
It says here that once the Tigers catch and pass the Sox, the Tigers will pull away and win by three or 4 games. That means, in a stretch where things can go right or wrong. the Sox might be playing .250 baseball. That just doens't cut it in crunch time.

White Sox Road Woes Continue posted on 09/21/2012
The Sox had won 5 in a row to get them 3 games up on Detroit with the season winding down. Now, after losing to the lowly Royals, who own the Sox this year. Chicago is trailing the CA. Angels, one of the better teams in the AL. It's not looking good for Chicago. Suddenly, they lost their mojo. When they go on the road they do all the things that good teams don't do. They run themselves out of innings, they fail to drive in runners on 2nd or 3rd base. Just one run would make a difference, yet the Sox can't push that run across. The Sox have a tenous two game lead over the Tigers. Good thing that Detroit got rained out tonight. The lead is in jeopardy now. Soon, the Tigers will waltz by. And, I am not a Tigers fan. I'm being realistic.

Sox Nip KC on Rios HR, 3-2 posted on 09/18/2012
Alex Rios hit his 24th HR of the season and helped Chicago slide by the Kansas City Royals, 3-2 in Kansas City tonight. The win enables The White Sox to maintain their 3 game lead over Detriot with 15 games to play. The White Sox have had trouble with the Royals all season long. It is their first win on the road vs. Royals in a while and it came after they were recently swept in a 3 game series.
But the Sox are playing better now and it comes at the right time as the pennant race heats up. Getting a win over the Royals always is difficult for the Sox wo have gone 12-24 versus KC and the Tigers. But Rios and Gordon Beckham provided HR's after Alejandro De Aza lead off the game with his 8th HR of the season. Gavin Floyd pitched seven strong innngs of 5 hit ball to earn his tenth win of the season.

Bears Get Blitzed in Green Bay posted on 09/14/2012
The Green Bay Packers trounced the Chicago Bears 23-13 on Thursday night at historic Lambeau Field. The Pack sacked Bears' QB Jay Cutler 7 times and forced him into throwing 4 interceptions. Earlier in the week, Cutler gave Green Bay poster material by intimating that the Packers might have trouble covering the Bears improved wideouts. Well, that's like adding fuel to the fire in this often heated rivalry. Former Broncos star receiver Brandon Marshall, now on the Bears, was held to two catches for minimal yardage. The Bears netted under 180 yards in the game, and the final score could have been worse. The Bears were outmatched on the field. The Bears defense got to Aaron Rodgers too, but not enough. Right now, the Packers looked like the bett
